NextInsights Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 4, 2026

Applies to: NextBed, Next Inpatient, Next Follow Up, NextReturn, and any other application published under the NextInsights name (the “Apps”), on iOS, Android, and the web. Peer Insights Physician Advising, LLC (“Peer Insights,” “we,” “us”) publishes the Apps. This policy explains what information the Apps collect, how we collect it, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have, including how to delete your account and revoke consent.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Profile information: name, email address, and professional credentials (for example MD, DO, RN, CCDS, case manager, CDI specialist).
  • Learning activity: pre-test and post-test responses, scores, completion status, evaluation responses, and CME or CE credit claims.
  • Support messages: anything you send us by email or phone.
  • If required to issue CME or nursing CE credit: state of licensure and license number.

Information collected automatically

  • App usage: which modules, references, and educational calculators you open, and when, so we can restore progress and improve the Apps.
  • Device and diagnostic data: device model, operating system version, app version, and crash or diagnostic reports needed to keep the Apps stable.
  • Purchase status: whether an in-app purchase or subscription is active. Apple and Google process store payments; we never receive your full card number.

We do not use advertising SDKs.

Information we do not collect

  • We do not collect protected health information (PHI) or electronic protected health information (ePHI). The Apps are documentation education and reference tools; they do not provide medical care advice. Do not enter patient names, dates of birth, medical record numbers, account numbers, or other identifiers into any field or calculator.
  • We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, HealthKit, Clinical Health Records, motion, or tracking data for advertising.
  • We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-app or cross-site advertising, and we do not use it for third-party advertising or data-broker purposes.
  • We do not use HealthKit or store personal health information in iCloud.

2. How we use information

We use the information in Section 1 only to:

  • Operate the Apps, authenticate you, keep your profile and learning progress synced across devices, and restore purchases.
  • Award CME or CE credit and issue certificates through our accredited joint provider.
  • Respond to support requests.
  • Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve content and performance.
  • Send transactional messages you request or that are required to run the service (receipts, CME certificates, security notices, and material changes to this policy or the Terms of Use).

We do not send marketing email. If that changes, we will update this policy and give you a way to opt out.

We do not use any information collected in an educational, professional, or health-adjacent context for advertising, marketing, or use-based data mining.

3. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as described below. Every third party that receives user data from us is required to protect it at least as carefully as this policy describes.

  • ABQAURP (American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians), our CME / CE joint provider. When you claim credit we share your name, credentials, email, activity completed, score, and evaluation responses so ABQAURP can issue your certificate and meet ACCME record-keeping requirements.
  • Apple and Google. They process App Store and Google Play purchases and subscriptions under their own privacy policies. We receive purchase status, not your payment-card number.
  • Service providers that host the Apps, authenticate users, store data, send email, and capture diagnostics solely on our behalf.
  • Legal requests. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of Peer Insights, the Apps, or users.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with advertising networks. We have no parent company that receives user data for its own purposes.

4. How long we keep information

  • Profile and learning activity: for as long as your account is active, and for 30 days after you delete the account so we can complete backups and confirm deletion.
  • CME and CE records: ABQAURP and Peer Insights retain credit records for six years, as required by ACCME. Those records already transmitted to ABQAURP are not erased when you delete your NextInsights account.
  • Diagnostic and crash data: 90 days, unless a longer period is needed to finish a specific fix.
  • Purchase records we receive from Apple or Google: as long as needed for accounting, tax, and fraud prevention.

When the retention period ends we delete or irreversibly de-identify the data.

5. Your choices and rights

Review and correct

You may review or correct your profile at any time from the Profiles page in each App.

Delete your account

You may delete your account from inside the App. The path is:

Profiles → Delete Account

Choosing Delete Account permanently removes your account record and the personal data associated with it that we are not legally required to keep. We do not offer “deactivate only” as a substitute for deletion.

What is deleted: your profile, login, learning progress, test responses stored on our systems, and support tickets we are not required to keep.

What is retained because the law or accreditation rules require it: CME / CE records already sent to ABQAURP (six-year ACCME retention), and purchase records Apple or Google require us or them to keep.

If you have an auto-renewable subscription through the App Store or Google Play, deleting your NextInsights account does not by itself cancel billing. Before you delete, cancel the subscription with Apple (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions) or Google Play. You may request immediate deletion or ask us to schedule deletion at the end of the paid term.

If you used Sign in with Apple, we will revoke the associated Apple tokens when the account is deleted.

Deletion is usually completed within 30 days. We will confirm by email if you provided one. You may also request deletion by emailing NextInsights@peer-insights.org; email is an extra path, not a replacement for the in-app control.

Revoke consent and export

  • Withdraw consent to further collection by deleting your account or uninstalling the Apps.
  • Export a copy of your profile and learning activity by emailing NextInsights@peer-insights.org.

If you are in a jurisdiction with additional privacy rights (including the EU, UK, or California), you may exercise access, correction, deletion, portability, and restriction rights through the same contact. We will not discriminate against you for exercising those rights.

6. Children

The Apps are intended for licensed health care professionals and adult learners working in hospital medicine and related fields. They are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS / TLS) and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure. Use a strong, unique password and do not share your login. Tell us promptly if you believe your profile was accessed without permission.

8. International users

The Apps are operated from the United States. If you use them from another country, your information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your home country.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any material change in the Apps and update the effective date. Where required, we will also notify you by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy. If you do not agree, delete your account and stop using the Apps.
